Strängbetong receives large order of three residential projects
Strängbetong, Sweden, receives large order of three residential projects for a total of 17 M€. The new projects - Lusten, Välgången and Lustgården - are located in Stockholm, Kungsholmen. They consist of four building lots: three blocks and a 25-storey tower blocks, the first of the city.
The 25-storey house with Terrazzo facades will be a prominent silhouette in Stockholm while the three houses will be covered with polished facades.
Cement Mosaic Terrazzo is a high quality concrete used as surface material. It is a natural material consisting of aggregate (stone, usually marble) mixed with cement and cast as a composition in a mould or over the floor. It is appreciated primarily for its aesthetic properties and its wear resistance. The finished Terrazzo surface is polished so that the stones and any other sealed material form a mosaic pattern.
For these projects, Strängbetong will supply approximately 50 000 m2 of wall, 50 000 m2 of floors, 180 floors of stairs, 100 columns, 100 beams, 200 tons of steel to customers SKB and Familjebost. The first assembly will take place directly after midsummer 2009 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2010.
